Samsung Galaxy A8 Star Specs can be classified as a high-end smartphone for having awesome features and specs. The phone is categorized as a mid-range phone but has amazing advanced features and specs. After so many rumors and articles has been published containing speculations and possible specs and features of the A8 Star it was finally has been released in the market globally. The phone has been silently launched for the first time in the China market under the name of Samsung Galaxy A9 Star. Unlike with the other smartphone brand, Samsung launched the smartphone with two different names but has the same design, size, specs, and features.
A8 Star is a Hybrid Dual Nano SIM card with a dual standby mode and Samsung Pay features. It supports up to 4G LTE network band for data connections. The phone has the size of 6.3 inches with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. It has a dimension of 162.4 x 77 x 7.6 mm (6.39 x 3.03 x 0.30 in) and weighing 191g. The display resolution has the spec of 1080 x 2220 pixels, 18.5:9 ratio and 392PPi density.
It is a multitouch phone with the UI of Samsung Experience 9.0 UX. It runs with the operating system of Android 8.0 Oreo and powered by 2.2 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 along with the GPU of Adreno 512. It has 4 GB RAM with a built-in of internal memory of 64 GB storage. One of the highlights of the A8 Star is having an expandable external memory up to the capacity of 400 GB via microSD card. Since the phone is a hybrid type, the SIM 2 slot will be the slot for the external memory.
Another highlight of the phone is having a Dual Camera lens at the back of the device. It has the quality of 24 MP (f/1.7) + 16 MP (f/1.7) with phase detection autofocus features and LED flash. Additionally, the camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR. As for the Secondary camera, it has a quality of 24 MP (f/2.0), 1080p. The video resolution spec has the quality of 2160p@30fps and 1080p@30fps.
A8 Star has the all types of sound alerts, Loudspeaker and 3.5mm jack. It has also a dedicated mic for active noise cancellation and Dolby Atmos sound (headphones only) features. The connectivity features packs with WiFi (dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, and hotspot), Bluetooth 5.0 (A2DP, LE), GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO), NFC, FM radio and micro USB 2.0 USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. The phone has Fingerprint scanner rear-mounted along with the other sensor features of the accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The battery is non-removable Li-Ion 3700 mAh with fast charging features.
The color variations available on the phone are Black and White only. The official price stated by Samsung is about 400 EUR or Php 24,800.00 for Philippines market price.
