Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) Review

After Huawei release the new version of the other Y series smartphone, Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) Specs will be expected to release soon. It was announced in May 2018 and will be available on June 2018. The phone that’s under the Y series flagship is the Y5 Prime (2018). The Y5 Prime (2018)is the updated version of the Y5 (2017) model. However, since there is no 2017 version of the Y5 Prime it can be considered as the 2018 Prime version of the old model Y5 (2017).

The Y5 Prime (2018) was announced recently this May 2018 and expected to be available in the market by June 2018. The phone can be either Single or Dual SIM card in a Nano size with the dual standby mode features. The network technology supports up to 4G LTE band connections. The phone has 5.45 inches in size and built with LCD capacitive touchscreen display type. It has the dimension of 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3 mm (5.77 x 2.79 x 0.33 in) and weighing 142g. The display resolution has the spec quality of 720 x 1440 pixels, 18:9 ratio and 295PPi density.

The phone has a multitouch features runs with the UI of EMUI 8.0 based on the Operating System Android 8.1 Oreo version. It is powered by 1.5 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor along with its GPU of PowerVR GE8100. The RAM has 2 GB capacity and the built-in internal storage has 16 GB only. But it is supported with the expandable external memory via microSD card up to the capacity of 256 GB and has a dedicated slot to use. It is pretty the same with the Y5 (2017) model when it comes to the RAM and Internal storage capacity.

The primary camera, the back portion of the device, has the quality of 13 MP with autofocus and LED Flash. The additional camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. While the front camera or the secondary has the quality of 5 MP only. The video resolution quality for recording has 1080p@30fps. It packs with all kind of alert types, Loudspeaker and 3.5mm jack port. Also, it has a dedicated mic for noise cancellation.

The connectivity features include WiFi (WiFi Direct and Hotspot), Bluetooth 4.2 (A2DP, LE), GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS), Fm Radio, and micro USB 2.0. As for the sensor features it has Accelerometer and proximity only. The battery is non-removable Li-Ion with 3020 mAh capacity. The colors available of the smartphone are Black, Gold, and Blue.
